I'm new to this guys so please forgive me....
Why, on youtube, for instance, when bass players are jamming do they wear the earphones? Are they listening to jam trax and just playing along?
I told you I was new.
Thanks

Well, it may be the track they are playing along with. It might also be that they've run their bass signal into their computer instead of their amp and need a way to hear it. Or they just look really good in headphones.

Sometimes I like to record stuff with like a garage band drum loop but if the drums are coming out of my computer then I'm recording bass and drums and if I can't hear the drums how can I play the bass...so I put the drums through the headphones when I record.
