Hi all,
Yes, I know the scale modes are Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian and Locrian. Just wondering if there was some cool acronym to help remember them faster than I am currently doing. Thanks in advance. |

If you use that order, it's just adding flats
Lydian - 1 sharp
Ionian - 0 flats
Mixolydian - 1 flat
Dorian - 2 flats
Aolean - 3 flats
Phrygian - 4 flats
Locrian - 5 flats

Ionian - straight out.
Lydian - sharp the 4.
Mixolydian - flat the 7.
Aeolian - flat the 3, 6 and 7.
Dorian - take the 6 back to natural.
Phrygian - add a flatted 2.
Locrian - add the flatted 2 and flat the 5.
