the only good one i've found so far is Mobile Metronome. Very good, easy to use, and always have a metronome on me when I need it

+1 for Mobile Metronome. I actually use it more often than my actual metronome now.

gStrings is handy when you don't have a plug-in tuner on hand.

And of course, there's the TalkBass Forums app, so you can read funny CL ads away from your computer.

There's also an app called My Bass, I just got it to try out. It's basically a little bass simulator. No verdict yet.

I searched Android apps about 6 months ago, couldn't find much, and went back to the i-phone. But I'll subscribe to this thread as I'd love to have some apps on Android as well.

The apps I use, on the i-phone;
-Pocket GK Lite (Gallien-Krueger amp & cab simulation)
-iShred Live
-Ludwig metronome
-Tempo Slow (slows down songs)
-Simple Looper

When I'm away from the bass, I like playing with;
-Bass Addict
-Bass Chords LE
Essentially I treat these 2 as games. It beats Sudoku

Almost all of these are free by the way, of course you can buy more functionality in-app if you want.

The Talkbass app is decent. I like the fact that it can be ran from your SD card. A lot of the apps force you to use your internal memory....

I tried the Beats per Minute one, but it doesn't seem very accurate. It gives me a different reading everytime. So I guess it's worthless!

My mobile OS preference was WebOS but HP has basically killed it. Not a lot of developers got behind it either. Too bad. It's a slick OS but it's gonna die...

Fretboard/Sight reading trainer to check out:

For the iphone: Bass Fretboard Addict for iPhone - Free iPhone software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com $4.99.

For Window Mobile: Mobilism • View topic - Rylee Bass Fretboard Addict v1.3

I haven't tested it. I didnt' care for the fretboard visual in V1.0
The recent version seems to have a clearer photo.

If you try this, please review.

Eartrainer looks kind of fun, it lets you guess scales, chords and intervals in the free version.

Root your phone and set it up to run from your SD card. The process essentially has you make an ext partition on your card, then drops simlinks into the system folders on your phone pointing to the same folders on your SD card. The result: All apps install and run on your SD card while the phone thinks it's running them from internal memory.

Didn't I read that the TC Electronic Polytuner can be downloaded as a smart phone app?

I use quite a few for the phone and ipad..

Tuner: peterson iStroboSoft
iRealB (for practicing jazz standards to a backing "band in a box"; mainly on my iPad though))
Guitar Toolkit (chords, etc)
Capo (slow down, change pitch)
SPL meter (when setting amp volumes at church)
OnSong (contains songs my praise band plays.. always adding to it, mainly iPad)
Pocket GK (amp)
Ampkit (amp and pedal simulators)
Garageband (ipad only)

Aren't there some warranty issues related to doing that? Just asking now.....
