Anyone else do this to keep their fingers exercised?

(Heads out of the gutter, pervs... )

So lately I've found that while I know what needs to get fretted, my fingers can't seem to keep up or go for fast string hops without getting tangled up, but I found a way to improve my finger strength, agility, and accuracy...

I play around with a coin. Something the size of a 2 euro coin, and basically flip it around on my fingers, or work it around in certain patterns (from between thumb/index to thumb/pinky and walk it back up).

Found that it actually helped a lot, and was curious whether I'm just one hell of a weird dude or whether more people have done this

I practice on a damaged acoustic bass with wicked high action. It's almost like playing an upright....if I can get a bass line down with that puppy, I'm in great shape on any other bass.

I use this Bailey's Bar and Grill Tutorial - Hazard Exercise - YouTube KILLS your hand after a while, but worth it!
