"Arban's" for Bass?

I used to play trumpet and I had called Arban's Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet and it had 300+ pages of songs and excercises to help with technique, reading, and general music. Is there anything like that for bass guitar or even upright (I don't play upright yet but it would still help)?

you could get the trombone version in bass clef.

I use the trombone method. The Simandl Method for DB is also really good.

The Arban book is OK. I've transposed a few from my trumpet book to bass clef. The book is really excellent for brass development, but really there are better books to deal with first for bass. Simandl and Bille are better just for understanding the fingerboard than the Arban.
