Bass Blueprints or Soloing for Bass?

For health reasons, I've had to quit my current band. I'll be looking for a new one within the year. I'm going to use this time to study and actually learn some things I already do by ear.
I love the MI books. I picked up Soloing for Bass and Bass Blueprints. Both are by Dominik Hauser. Am not sure which one to start with. Any suggestions? I mostly play melodic punk.
