Bass Guitar Lessons Austin, Tx

I've taken some lessons in town with Ed Friedland and Brady Muckelroy but was looking for something closer to my home. Has anyone taken lessons at Lone Star Music School? Any feedback? I'm looking at the website and the "bass instructors" don't seem to have very strong bass backgrounds. Kind of seems like guitar teachers teaching bass. Lone Star School of Music | About Us

Apparently no one knows about Lone Star. Does anyone have recommendations for the south side of town?

I dunno, if I could take lessons from Ed and I was anywhere within a zipcode or three, I would just take the drive.

You ain't gonna find a better teacher than that.

Ed is awesome. His books and pedagogical approach are a testament to that. However - there are sooooooo many options out there who resonates with you as far as they're approach to teaching. He isn't the only cat in town (although he'd be a damn good cat to look up. I'm sure he would steer you in the right direction at least)

talkbass may not necessarily be the only place to "fish" (for lack of a better term ) for the information you seek.
