Yes! Playing a major pentatonic scale starting from the I IV and V of the major scale.
If you lay out all the notes it makes it easier to see how this works so you have...
C pent = C D E G A or R 9 3 5 13
F pent = F G A C D or 11 5 13 R 9
G pent = G A B D E or 5 13 7 9 3
The 11th if usually considered an avoid note so you need to be careful with the F but apart from that you're all good =) Check out lesson 2 to see the full positions of the major pentatonic scale, when you combine both lessons it really gives you a lot of freedom
