Kind of a dubious first post - advertising.

Good question actually.

If you aren't asking money for it I guess it's okay. (as a non-supporting member of TB)

I don't see you doing anything wrong AFAIK, lots of people posts lessons here.

I'm at work but I'll check out your videos later.

Welcome to TalkBass either way.

I asked the mods about doing exactly what you're doing. They said no.

My point was that since it's your first post it could easily give the moderators and the owner of this site the impression that you're using Talkbass simply to advertise for free. That happens pretty regularly and they deal with it swiftly and severely. You should take a look at this page for the official policies - http://www.talkbass.com/forum/faq.ph...policy#faq_cup.

I'm not a moderator, so I'm not someone who'd make a ruling. So maybe before anything happens you might want to edit your post just so they don't make any negative assumptions. Also, get involved so it's clear you're contributing to the site rather than "using" it.

Anyway, I can't see YouTube at work so I haven't been able to check out your site but I will if I have some free time when I get home tonight. But welcome to Talkbass and please do jump into discussions so people here get to know you.

Thanks for the link; from what I can gather, it's possible starting a new thread about this is against the rules?

I'm sorry if that's the case. I'm new here and am just getting around the site. If a moderator needs to contact me please do so.

Just a quick comment on your "lesson" clip.

It looks like more of a "demonstration" to me. You are not actually teaching anything.

Thanks for checking out my site.
Yes, there are no lessons on the page; the lessons actually take place in person or via webcam.

Thanks for laying down the rules guys, but that's why the mods are here.

Feel free to message either me, blackbird, or one of the admins and we'll answer your questions further.
