www.studybass.com is a very good all around bass site. Start on the first screen - don't skip around, start on the first screen and speed read each page till you have to slow down.

Best thing this site has going for it - is it gives you basic music theory in six steps. Each step building upon the last step.

This question normally gets several replies, all of which have value. Bookmark the replies and help yourself.

Get a few charts to start learning bass clef. Start at the notes then work your way up. Learn scales, keys etc..
