My Digitech RP-50 has a drum machine built in.
But for ease of use and portability, it's hard to beat the Sabine Zipbeat metronome. (hard to "beat" nyuk nyuk nyuk)

The Zoom '708 foot pedal/fx unit has a drum machine built in, but it is not programmable.

Something that you might want to think about is whether a drum machine will mask your timing mistakes. They are more fun to play along with, but if you want to listen to, and improve your timing, less is more. Try playing with a click set to every 2nd or 4th beat, and see how you do.
