Welcome to TB!

You have found the resources you are looking for with TalkBass. The search feature is very powerful. I use it almost every day. Just search/browse through the General Instruction and Technique forums and you will find some great beginner info.

Getting a teacher, such as you plan to do, is the most important step. Getting lessons early on will prevent any bad habits from forming.

Good luck!
