Bending

Hey, i was woundering if theres only the two differant bends, bending the string a semi tone, and half of a semi tone i think, is it only those to right? i've tryed bending for a full tone but it never reaches that far, but anyway, the reason i'm posting this is becouse i cant seem to get the right sound on the high bendy bit on the coffee shop solo....i hope someone knows what i mean by that lol, i've got the whole solo down, and this is the only part i need to get right, i've been trying for aggges and i cant seem to get it to sound right, if anyone has heard the song can they tell me how to get the right sound plz? i no i have to dig in loads which i'm used to anyway

well you could bend a quater of a semi tone or a 1/8 or as much as you wanted, lighter guage strings will help you if you want to bend more

Are you bending properly? You need to put your thumb on top of the neck and turn your hand, using it as a lever. Like turning a key. To bend towards the floor, use the side if your hand.

take some wire cutters and just half way snip the part of your string near at the head stock behind the nut, it'll give you that extra bit of bend you're looking for:d

well i'm kidding don't do that. actually have no advice except to say bend towards the floor, i find pushing up more difficult.

I no how to bend, thats not really a problem, i usually bend down on the E and A string and bend up on the D and G, i guess i didnt really make clear what i was askin, i just cant seem to get the right sound on the high part of coffee shop, at 2:39 into the song, it bends fast and a few times but i cant get the sound i'm after, if theres anyone who can play this solo or something, if they could show me how they play that part that would be awsome, its the only part i havnt fully figured out yet
