I got this book along with 2 others for cmas when i first started playing. This one is bar far the best of the 3. Its pretty easy to understand, has a lot of info, and I learned a lot about music theory in general from reading it. It also has a lot of exercises and scales n stuff. I fully recommend it. It was bought for me 7 years ago and back then it was only $10.95. Good luck! |

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste! | Agree with Bass Guitar for Dummies - also...if you buy the book through Amazon, you can also get the book online (so you can access it from any computer). This is great if you travel a bunch or always seem to be sitting in front of a computer.

but I would suggest that if you're just starting out to get Ed Friedland's Beginner Method books (1, 2, & 3) you can get them either separate or as one book together. |
