Best bass soloing book for six string

Sign in to disble this ad
I know that one can't find a totally comprehensive method to learn/improve soloing, but I believe that sticking to one learning method/book as the backbone for your solo studies is helpful. Any ideas as to which book should I stick to? I play six string, therefore it would be nice to work on the whole range+chordal stuff.
Has anyone went through 'Concepts of bass soloing' (Chuck Sher/Mark Johnson)?

Thanks,
dex

I really like Scott Hubbell's books. http://www.scotthubbell.com/book.htm

I've not dealt with too many 6 string specific books, I tune like a guitar and generally try to work from guitar type learning material.

Does it have to be a bass book? Theory is theory, soloing is soloing. There's a lot you can get out of non-instrument specific texts.

But if you do want to go that route, maybe check out Gary Willis and Todd Johnson.
