Scott is the man! His stuff has been the most valuable resource for all of my self-learning on the bass for the last year.

IME, "best" may also depend on the "focus" of the website, e.g, TBr Nickonbass (Nick Kreswell) has a great site with tons of backing tracks to play along with: http://www.freejamtracks.com

TBr Dmanlamius (Kris Rogers) has lots of video lessons at http://learnbass.net and on Youtube. Same with MarlowDK of Youtube fame; his site is www.playbassnow.com

Other sites to check out include:
thelibster.com Tech advice, drills, bass sound files & more
cyberfretbass.com Videos & more
activebass.com Lessons, backing tracks, articles and more. Xlnt site
How to Play Bass. com

Also consider checking out my >500 TB links below for lots of related links (theory, sight reading, rhythm, along with equipment reviews and much more) that will keep you busy for years to come.

Good luck!

I love Scott's stuff and even donated but being a "Complete" beginner I felt a little lost..

I saw StudyBass and that starts you at ground zero... I am working through StudyBass and then will graduate to Scott's site..
