I think a lot of Marillion's songs have got great basslines, but then I'm biased because they're my favourite band. |

| | | | I'll play. Off the top of my head, these are tunes whose bass lines made me think, "cool". None of them are particularly difficult, and most are pretty damn easy. I will not list any "staples" of bassdom- just good tunes with good, fun basslines.
Photograph- Ringo Starr
One Of These Nights- Eagles
Dazz- Brick
Something About You- Level 42
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic- The Police
Another Day- Wings
War of the Hearts- Sade
Green-Eyed Lady- Sugarloaf |

Higher Ground - Stevie Wonder or the RHCP
La Villa Strangiato - Rush (Also Big Money, Circumstances, New World Man, 2112, etc. Sorry! I am Canadian... liking Rush is a prerequisite)
Superfreak - Rick James
99 Red Balloons - Nina
Longview - Green Day
Queen - Under Pressure (Great line considering you really never leave the 12th fret!) and Another One Bites the Dust
Etc....etc....etc......... These are just a few off the top of my head.
BTW... these are by no stretch the BEST songs ever recorded, but the bass lines are IMO even though I dislike a few of them.
