YYZ definitely helped build up my accuracy, speed, and technique. But I've also learned slapping from Marcus songs (namely Blast) and other techniques from countless other songs. I've also been influenced by just how I've heard certain songs and tried to replicate their techniques my own way...so it's difficult to pick just one song but if I had to, YYZ. Quote:

I love this song.
Our band will be playing it next tuesday for the first time.
Hope it goes over well.
So far we have done stinkfist, sober, the pot and 46&2.
All of them awesome songs, and the crowd loved them. Life is good when you play bass for a tool tribute band! |

1. Portrait of Tracy - Jaco Pastorius (a slop-fest by his standards but full of technique and theory)
2. Blackbird - Once again Jaco (Technique and a bit less theory)
3. And, for me, I'll throw "Money" - PF, in to the mix b/c it was the one of the first to emphasize 1 finger per fret and really requires some dexterity to play all the way through well

| | | | Songs I have written, one called deep inside. Made me make full use of the E pentatonic scale. For cover songs, I would have to say since I was looking to learn some "speedy" songs I would have to say "My Lovely Man" by RHCP. I love the verse in the song. Oh and black dog by zep is cool very catchy tune.
