I'm considering going to BIMM after I've done my A Levels and was wondering if anyone on these forums is doing a course there or has done a course there. I just want to know what it's like (facilities, lessons, atmosphere etc.) and if it helped you achieve what you wanted to do in life. I'm really interested in getting into the technological side of music (sound engineering, recording) and I'm torn between BIMM and a few different universities. I'm 16, currently in year 12 so I don't have to decide on a university for another year but I just wanted to get an idea of what courses would be good for me.

To those of you who don't know:
BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music though theres one in Bristol too) is a music university in England which offers instrument specfic music courses.

Any information, stories etc. are welcome. Any information on other universities' courses would be great too.

Cheers, Rick.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend going there, look at ICMP if you're serious about doing a music degree as they provide the best education.

For an insight my graduating class of 20 had 3 people who could actually read music. Heart breaking.
