| | | | I've earned constant blisters from playing alot on a short amount of time, as for bloodblisters never, i've ripped my fingers open sure, but to get a blood blister don't you really have to pinch the crap out of the affected area to get them?
but yes blisters i think are very normal in general for a beginning bassist.
Take a few days off let it heal and form a callous and get back to it stronger, better faster. |

A cheesy way to get thick callouses quick is to dip your fingertips in mentholated spirits every day. In no time your finger pads will be thick enough to deflect bullets...

Call me a dumb a** but what are mentholated spirits? You got any name brands to go with that? I'm curious. |

I still haven't found a permanent solution for this. Just today I had to rip off the dead skin on my middle finger and fresh skin was exposed. I had a show so put super glue on it. This seemed to have worked for awhile but towards the end of the set the glue wore off, and know I have a new one... If anyone knows how to cure this - I would be much appreciative.

You could use pure alcohol if you like... denatured alcohol is just cheaper because it (theoretically) can't be drunk. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
