While not exclusively rock Hal Leonard's Bass Tab White Pages is pretty extensive (197 songs) and contains a lot of stuff that Hal Leonard repackages in various other, more specific formats.

I'd say that if you're looking for a comprehensive book pick it up and then look for other books to fill in the gaps.

are they just tab?

Is the Bass Tab White Pages exclusively Tab?

or does it have useable sing charts/ lead sheets like the Real Book, etc?

It has tab and notation with chords, time signatures, coda indicators, etc.

I know this is is an old thread being resurrected, but that's what the search button is for... to not start a new thread on the same subject.

I just got The Bass Tab White Pages yesterday. I can't say I went through it extensively, but for what I've seen I think I can't have gone wrong (especially with my company discount ).

I think at the very least it will show me what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong in playing around with making up my own bass lines. I like the idea of the standard notation; since this is something I've neglected since college music courses 30 years ago.

I'm looking forward to using it.
