$90 an hour!

I'd pay $90 if the player in question was one of my favourite bass players, had music education coming out of his ears, played on dozens of records in my collection and had toured and played the world in front of millions.

I've had lessons from someone like that - and he only charged me $50 an hour.

So for $90 - for me it'd have to be Will Lee or Oteil Burbridge.

The $50 an hour was well worth it - the dude taught me so much in 4 lessons it was rediculous. And actually worth $90 an hour in retrospect.

But as I said - he's played on countless records and toured the world playing in front of millions.

If you have to think hard about it - I don't think it's worth it. Not until you are a better player than the $30 an hour teacher anyway.

I pay $75 an hour for that currently.
