Can anyone recommend a good DVD instructional series?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have just been looking on learnandmaster.com's website where they offer a great 12 DVD instructional series on drums (a drummer friend of mine just recommended it to me as he's got it and found it to be pretty good).

Does anyone know if there is any equivalent type thing for bass? (I see that learnandmaster.com has a 3 DVD series for the bass as well, taken by Tony Marvelli (Nashville session player), but I don't know how advanced a level the series goes up to.

Apparently the drum one goes from intermediate to advanced, so again does anyone know if such a thing exists for bass?

Cheers

Check out Roy Vogt's Teach Me Bass Guitar. I'm working my way through right now and am having a blast. You can check out my blog at the link in my sig if you want to read more about my experience with the course. Good luck to you!

You might also want to check out TrueFire.com's two instructional courses from Stu Hamm. Really great stuff.

I have Roy's TMBG as well. It is really awesome, especially for guys like me who skipped learning all of the scales and modes in lew of hitting the road, playing and partying back in the day.

Roys course is very good.....even if you have been playing for a while. It starts out basic, but ramps up pretty quickly. I especially like the way Roy uses the theory he teaches in each lesson and then applies it to the songs you play with the band. Well worth your money. Good Luck!
