Can Someone Find Me An Etude?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if any of you folks had an etude that includes ONLY and ALL notes from low A (bottom of staff) to the Eb above the staff?

And then do you also have another etude that includes ONLY and ALL notes from the C# in the staff to the G (3 ledger lines above the staff)?

Many, many, many, many thanks!

Look in the Simandl 30 studies book. It is for double bass but you could pull it off on slab.

Just out of curiosity - why?

This thread contains a load of Kreutzer violin etudes I've transposed for bass. Check them out if you haven't already. Although I don't think any of them fit your (very limiting) criteria.

It'll really force me to learn the specific notes on the positions. My hurdle right now is that I know the notes fluently and well in first position, but once I go up past the fifth fret on the neck it's no man's land for me for the most part.

Any comprehensive bass book should give you this info. Just look at the etudes in the books and see that they meet your criteria. A good book will even expand on what you are trying to do.
