Certified Instructor - CTT+

Here's a bit of info about becoming a certified instructor/trainer. CTT+ (certified technical trainer) is a cross-industry standard, which has already been adopted by the software industry. I'm thinking about doing it myself.

I'm wondering if the music industry needs to adopt something like this?

Not sure how it would work though. but I do think that there needs to be a standard to which trainers work to. Plus, it gives the student reassurance knowing that the instructor is working to a standard.

Music is an art form. There are as many ways to learn it as there are people to teach it. And while there are many ways that make things easier, there are no "one size fits all" methods to teach it.

Bottom line is, if there are talented folks out there, there will always be someone to want to learn from them.

Yeah, I doubt that it could on. Music as an art has been around for a long time, where as software is highly standardized and driven aggressively by business.

thanks for your comments.

Not that I don't think there are many teachers out there who should NOT be teaching. I understand what you were thinking of, and I don't disagree with your intent.
