Chuck Rainey's Bass Method Books

Could anyone here offer me some suggestions please as to the best way of starting or approaching Chuck Rainey's volumes?

I have played blues piano for 20 years, know how to read music and all that, but would like to now transfer that to playing the bass.

Is there a particular volume from Chuck Rainey's books that would be good to get straight into?

Thanks!

The first one will help you relate the piano to the fretboard as there are some excellent diagrams and exercises in the beginning of that one to do so, but after the first part of that one I'm not sure. Let me pull out my other ones and take a look at them again.
