Hey,

My first bass teacher (a.k.a. sensei) is named Ben Torrey, and he plays amazing music on electric bass, acoustic bass guitar and he recently started playing viola da gamba.

Ben was playing Bach and more on electric bass back in 1997, and he has expanded his horizons since.

His website features lots of music, and his blog has great articles and videos for instruction as well as inspiration.

If you can, please check it out!

I know Ben from YouTube. He's a cool guy and I dig his Bach stuff too.

Nice, Dave! BOTH you guys rip Bach (and more!) on the bass. Ben was also the first cat to talk about Zen, and Zen in the context of music.

Boy, that'll open up the ol' noggin!

Cheers,
Jeb
