How much do you pay per bass lesson?

Is it for a one-half hour session with your instructor or for an hour?

I pay $20 per half hour for bass lessons. That is about the going rate in Phoenix AZ, unless you are taking advanced lessons with a professional who has an extensive resume. I don't see your location in your profile, that would help others give you better information.

I've paid $20 per 30 minute session before but it depends on the teacher's experience and credentials. I am now paying $30 for 30 minutes but my new instructor is nationally known and has published a lot of books + DVDs as well as a studio/gigging/session guy. I don't mind paying the extra jack as I can see this guy has a plan to take me the next several steps. Either that or he is trying to kill me.

$160 per month for 1 hour per week (i.e. every Wednesday).
Most months I get 4 lessons; some months I get 5 lessons if they have 5 Wednesdays in that month.
So, on average, a little less than $40 per hour.

Now I pay $30 for an hour here in New York. With my previous teacher I was paying $60 for an hour. It all depends on the teacher and the market I guess.

I pay $11 per half hour and a $20/month membership to the store which also gets me a nice discount on everything they sell.

If it's who I think it is (just by judging your location), that seems like an awesome deal.

I'm looking to move to Austin soon... Know any mechanical engineers there? Let me know, I'm going to need a job, if so PM me!

Probably more than $30 for 30 min in San Francisco. But living expenses here are ridiculous.
