Detuned to A.D.G.C.F.B-FLAT. E-FLAT

I Play my six string tuned a whole step down, which I like being able to match the lowest note on the piano. This done quite a bit by Gospel players for that low e flat b flat thing. My question is this...

1:I do not detune my other five strings down at all. I am curious if the going back and fourth between bassess that are tuned differently is really helpful to me or if I would be better off just detunning all of them down a whole step?

My biggest issue is I have been playing so long not detunning that it is taking me a bit to get used to the notes being in different places on the neck

Anyone else here detune?

Notes are notes, it doesn't matter where they fall on the neck. Unless, of course, it screws up your tab reading.
