I use dropped C on my new project. Used to be Dropped D.

There's Tenor tuning (ADGC), but I can't name many more than that.

I'd like to know more about additional tuning too.

yeah, its fun to experiment. If you find a site, tell us!

hahaha

by the way,

CGCF is really low, apparently sometimes used for metal-ish projects. I can kinda see, but i like it for any style.

try it!

I've been using some weird tunings that I don't think are that common.

BDADG - kind of like drop D but with an added low B.
ADADA - this is kinda sweet.

A tuning I came up with, where every open string can be played on the 6th fret of the string below AND (!!) above.

i use to be in a band with a 7 string guitarist that tuned G C G C F A D (thats all 7 a whole step down and then the 2 lowest strings go down another step) so i matched him GCGCF with my 5. the low g was completely useless so i put lighter gauge strings on and tried CGCFA#. (EADGC down a step and then "drop C") then i tuned the A# back up to a C for CGCFC. so my intervals are 5th 4th 4th 5th. i love it . lots of cool chord possibilities
