Drum machine advice?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a drum machine that is relatively inexpensive. The main reason why I want one is to program it so that it drops out for however long I want and comes back in....

I would like to be able to program it to say drop out anywhere from 1 of four bars to only playing 1 beat every four bars.

Does anyone have any suggestion for a machine that can do this?

Here's an idea. if you have a drum programming software like ez drummer or if you program drums on keyboards, convert the drum tracks you've programmed in to mp3 files and put them into an mp3 player or an Ipod(if you have one). that way you'll be able to play songs without the hassle of hiring drummers and dealing with the drama of real drummers. I got this idea from a local progressive metal band I know. I'm gonna do this idea too. I hope this idea helps you out.

Hi, I believe any simple boss DR model or alesis drum machine can drop out like you want. All you have to do is create a 4 bar loop and record drums on only 1 bar. Some of the software drum programs might be even cheaper.
