Okay the tab I have shows the main bass line as C(A string) to Bflat to A flat. The problem however is that it sounds lower than that.I can't get that sound with my Jazz bass.Is it possible it is an octave lower than written?
Sometimes a 4 string sounds pretty low I know.Meshell's Plantation lullaby sounds so low because she's played flats eq'd that way to emphasize the lows of course.
In this song the bass drum is tuned very close pitchwise and they lock perfectly so that may be creating this aural illusion.

Yes I know it is synth bass but still it is one of my favorite grooves.John Taylor wasn't even in the studio when they recorded it.Anyone know what Synth and patch Nick Rhodes used to create this superb groove as an addendum here?
