Might be a stupid question but i've always played in standard. I'm not sure how to do it on my tuner. I just have a standard digital tuner.

Tune your A to 435hz. Or calibrate the tuner from 440 to 435 if that's an option. Standard A is 440hz.

The other option is tune the bass standard, play your 4th fret on your "E" string. Tune your A to that instead of the 5th fret. See what it reads on your tuner Ab I hope.

Uh, just tune EADG with finger on first fret. Done.
Actually the easiest way is to know the order of notes so you can tune properly regardles of the tuner.

Good call. I am too technical minded for my own good sometimes. Working int he world of technology has ruined me.

I have 440 A slammed into my brain now anyway, I haven't used a tuner in years except for recording.
