Easy beginner songs

Looking for some new songs to play that are pretty simple. I don't really care what genre or artist it is, prefer it not be metal, but if it is I guess it's okay. Thanks for any suggestions!

I started with the Beatles' Abbey Road and U2's Under a Blood Red Sky, those were the first two records I used to play along with...

Love that Queen song, don't know the Beatles song, but I really like them so I'll definitely give it a listen.

You might want to go to You tube and find Easy Bass Vids.

I keep hearing this from people, I guess I'll have to look some up now. I mean, they can't be too bad, all their songs are only like 90 seconds anyway

Fight for Your Right to Party is ridiculously easy. Eighth notes on open A for the whole song pretty much.

Kids say the darnedest things!

Stuff like Ramones is fun to learn with as is early Clash, Beatles, etc. The instant results you get motivates you to move on and keep at it. Better than beginning by trying to learn the hard stuff first.

That was the whole reason behind this thread actually. I was getting a bit bored with my books and just wanted to learn something fun to play that would motivate me to keep on.

Well, guess what your getting some metal, because Black Sabbath is pretty easy for the most part.

Ironman
The Wizard
NIB
Sweet Leaf

You can learn all of those in about 5minutes total.

Iron Maiden stuff isn't terribly technical, just requires a lot of endurance.
