Trick question; all of them are. Just tune your E string low enough that it makes more noise flopping against the floor than actual notes and do your best to play eighth notes on it.

Wow, guys, way to show the support.

First song I learned on the bass was Korn's Blind. If you have a four string, It will require changing the tuning of the strings from standard. It's pretty much 0-2-0-3-0-2-0-3--555 on the E string, tune it low enough so 0 is the same tuning as the song. Its like a drop B, or C# something like that havent heard it in a while.

Bands like slipknot and korn can be pretty hard to start out on. Feildy uses an unusual slap technique and almost plays the bass more like a drum than a bass. And slipknot has some pretty crazy riffs. I'd suggest learning wait and bleed by Slipknot, not too hard.

Yeah sorry i can't offer much suggestion in korn and slipknots newer stuff. I listen to totally different music now. But I wouldn't be where i am today, and probably wouldn't know who jaco past, marcus miller, claypool were if i didn't get into bass through nu-metal.

And for all you jazz heads, really old slipknot with some serious funk flair to it http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YhPsOAQhTxI
Listen to all of it, but if you are impatient Check out 1:40 in. There's actually some pretty sick bass in the song.

Wow to some of the replies this guy got. Be glad I'm not a moderator or a few of you would have been given a quick ticket to GTFO from Talkbass. Very rude, uncalled for and distasteful.

Anyway, as mentioned many of the songs by both korn and slipknot are not too difficult to play on bass with exception of a few but for the most part since you listen to them you should be able to figure out which ones would be more difficult then others. Songs like Liberate by slipknot isn't hard at all and is fun to play with a good drummer. With practice you shouldn't have much trouble with most of either bands songs before too long.
Now when you move on to Mudvayne, thats when the fun begins.

good luck and have fun

Oh and if you intend to play mostly this kind of stuff with really low tuning and assuming you are on a 4string I would recommend looking into getting some bigger strings some time in the future to keep everything relatively flop-free. I know slipknot tunes their guitars quite low and korn's bassist uses a 5string in B.

Just for the record (as far as I'm aware anyway) Slipknot use 6 string guitars and a 4 string bass both downtuned to drop B, and Korn use 7 string guitars and 5 string bass tuned down a tone to A.

I used to be into playing that kind of stuff and the hardest thing I found was actually picking the bass lines out of it! Give it a go by all means though and maybe consider dabbling with a five string?

Meev992 Tasteless dude really!

Most downtuned music like korn you should use a 5 string tuned down. I agree trying to pick out the parts are hard but its mostly adding fill with the kick and adding another layer to the drums.I used to lock in my b string and ride my B,C,D with the kick in my old band when we played heavy riffs and then did runs and fills off of it...sounded great.
