What are the most essential/common Bass classical Prepared solo pieces?

I'd like to build a small repetoir just incase I do any auditions in the future, and just for practice, it'd be nice to know a dozen or so

I know the Bach Cello Suites.. What else?

Chromatic Fantasy, also by Bach, famously played by Jaco. If not for the speed - I won't blame you - then for its other qualities, such as educational value, and musicality.

Check the DB forum. Indeed, there's a forum over there on auditions, which covers both college and symphonic. Somebody has a collection of scanned bass parts to the major classical symphonies available as a download.
