| Keeping it REAL Well, you can't go wrong with either the Sher or new Hal Leonard series. I own 'em all (except for the new HL RB 2!) If you can read both clefs proficiently, go with treble...that way you can share tunes with your pianist/guitarist, etc.
I do prefer the Sher books because the print is larger and easier to read down on a gig. The new HL books have that familiar "handwritten" font...but with most of the "illegal" changes corrected. Overall, I find the Sher books to be more accurate though.
