I've recently been revisiting Allan Holdsworths material especially the live "All Night Wrong" cd and Jimmy Johnson is an absolute monster at playing just the right notes, chords, runs, fills, etc against the ever changing chord forms/voicings inherent within Holdworths guitar soloing. Can someone help me figure out how Holdsworth approaches complex chord and soloing. Secondly, how does Jimmy Johnson flow so flawlessly and musically filling the space and time within each song as the chord changes progress?
