Finding a good teacher in NYC

I'm planning to leave London and stay in New York City for around 2 months during the summer, and will be looking for a really good bass teacher for that time. Can anyone recommend either a great tutor or a good place to find a tutor while I'm there?

This guys a bit expensive, but he's a really cool dude and great teacher. Author of bass for dummies.

cool, thanks for those - the first bass book I ever bought was 'bass for dummies', it would be great to take actual lessons from the man himself. I've sent him an email.

good. tell him i sent you and maybe he'll give me a discount so I'll be able to afford taking lessons from him again. I only took about 3, a long time before he wrote that book, but my memories are good.
