Hi everyone, I've started a blog to give lessons and talk about soloing and other jazz nerd topics. These lessons will also mostly be able to apply to other styles of music too. I'd love for the blog to become a discussion group over eveyone's bass ideas. Check it out: www.finerethan.wordpress.com Thanks!

That segment on the whole tone scale (April 13) is cool. Ive played around with it in the past but I was never quite clear on how to incorporate it into a solo- thanks.

Okay, so where do you all want to go from here? I can do more videos to help you understand the timing of some of these scales, I can deconstruct some tunes and what scale options there are, or I can show how to apply these in more of a rock way. Thanks.

Just want to repeat my thanks for this excellent blog. Please keep it coming!

I would love to see more hip ways of using different scales and modes over particular chords whilst improvising. Also - use of the altered scale! Oh - and diminished. :-)
