Freeware mp3 player that slows down, transposes and transcribes music

The app is made by me, but I guess I'm not spamming because it's completely free.

Check it out: http://www.rinki.net/pekka/slowmp3/ .. It recognizes bass notes pretty well, though it's not perfect yet.

New(ish) version of Java is required to run the app (most computers come with Java already installed).

Thanks for the feedback! And sorry if the app didn't work as advertised with your Mac. I released it today, and it has mostly been tested only with my Windows PC (with Java version 6).

This is a quite common problem with .jar files. On most systems the application can be executed by just double clicking the SlowMP3.jar file. But some systems think that the .jar file is a zip file, or some other data file and open it in wrong application.

Try right-clicking the SlowMP3.jar and selecting "Open with | Java(TM) Platform SE binary", so the file will be opened by Java.

Or, if you know how to use command prompt in your system, use command "java -jar SlowMP3.jar".

This looks interesting. When I get home, I'll load her up on my laptop there.

Sweet app!

I was a little hesitant; the number of Java apps I've seen that felt like a native responsive app are quite few. But this works excellently. Good job!

Thanks for the screenshot. It seems that you're doing everything right. Probably your Java version is too old for the application to start
