fret buzz and having a set up

I played a http://www.amazon.com/Semi-Hollow-Bo.../dp/B002DQBZM6 today. No fret buzz at all. My bass has a lot of fret buzz.

Does a set up help. Glad to spend the money if it could eleminate some of this problem.

Yes but getting pointers from the tech is a good thing. Also ask if your neck requires adjustments based on the weather. Some do more than others.
