Fun songs for a beginner.

I'm relatively new at playing bass, only been doing so for a few months, and i'm looking for some songs that are fun to play but at the same time not too difficult. I've been learning slap, and i'm fairly quick at getting around to whatever frets i need to, so the songs don't need to be super simplistic, just something i can jam to. I like all fields of music from jazz to metal, so variety would actually be a good thing for me.

Thanks ahead of time for any and all responses, and sorry if this has been posted a thousand times before, i'm also new to the forums.

Punk is a good place to start -- fun but mostly pretty simple. Maybe the Clash, Sex Pistols, etc.?

Learn a 12 bar blues line or two, easy to play and sounds cool. then you can take it to other musicians and spend hours getting your feel down.

Yea learn the 12 bar blues, it will come in handy. I played the crap out of Longview by Green Day when I was starting out, it's a fun bass line.

Ditto on 12 bar blues.. stuff by Albert Collins or someone you like.

Play this stuff till you puke... focus on where the notes go back and fourth from. Once you get this, we can move onto major scales.

I'm always amazed at the guys with a 5k rig that can't hear an interval but can memorize riffs.

"Boris the Spider". Fun to play and sing, especially if you can do that Entwistle vocal effect. Audiences love it.

I started learn Animals tunes that led me to Blues and then played lots of Blues. What an amazing education and made it easy to sit-in with good players to learn more about music and playing with others.
