Giving a piano lesson.

So tomorrow I'm going to start teaching a friend how to play the piano. I intend on going over the most basic things, like what the keys are and how notes work. I plan on giving her the C major scale to work on until the next lesson. Also teaching her how to find notes on the staff.

So, my question is, what else should I teach her? Also, what should I give her for something to practice? I've never taught anyone before, and I always have wanted to expand other peoples' minds with music. I have a bunch of friends that ask me to teach them how to play instruments and whatnot.

Piano? Isnt this a bass forum? oh well never mind. I just started to learn the Piano Jon and its fantastic. If i could only choose one other instrument to be a master at, it would be the piano. You can write everything from the piano. Bass is still favorite mind! So versatile..
