I am looking for some really good bass instruction books, I am into funk, blues, and am also trying to get into classical stuff.
Ive had my eye on J.S Bach for electric bass, can anyone tell me if this is good.
Can anyone reccomend any awesome instruction books?

The very best blues bass instruction book/CD combination I have ever encountered is "Mel Bay's Complete Blues Bass Book" by Mark Hiland. Actually it is so thorough that it could almost serve as a beginning bass instruction book.

Carol Kaye has the first and best bass educational books. www.carolkaye.com

Also, the Bach cello suites are great for intermediate to advanced players. Not so great for beginners because they're too hard for most.
