I am sure there are numerous threads on this but I am at work right now and dont have the time to search. I was hoping just to get pointed in the right direction. I play some guitar, know how to tune, took guitar lessons and know a few scales....most of the stuff I have learned has been by ear...now with the treble cleff I am at a loss..I can listen to a bass line and practice it but I want to be able to read music and know what I am playing not just hit the fret that sounds right to me. If that makes sense. A good bass book that gets you started on notes on the bass fretboard, scales, arrpegios, finger excercises, etc. I can read tab..I have the Jamerson Shadows of Motown and I want to be able to read the music that is in that book. Thanks,
