Good Music Player for Ear Training

I am starting to try and learn songs by ear.... the problem is it is hard for me to hear the bass on some parts over the drum or the guitar and also the songs are a bit fast. Is there any music player that acts kind of like a TASCAM Bass Trainer?

I am mainly looking for a bass booster feature.... and a way to slow down music.

Some MP3 players may have this feature, I have it on my Nomad Jukebox 3. The other thing you can use is CoolEdit/Adobe Audition.

I routinely use Windows Media player to slow songs down, without changing pitch, for the purpose of figuring out certain passages of songs. It also has a decent EQ that allows you to enchance the bass frequencies.

But when I need to actually transpose a song to a different key, I use Adobe Audition.
