Does anyone know of this online course?

http://www.teachmebassguitar.com/

Looks interesting and informative. I'm an old... play it by ear bass player and I want to learn some proper methods and break some bad habits etc. Also keen on the Nashville number system.

Thanks and I look forward to feedback.

Do a search. There have been a few threads about it here recently. Seems to have generally got the thumbs up.

I am currently working on lesson 9 of Teach Me Bass guitar and have been very pleased with the course. I have been blogging about it since I started in October, if you are interested check out the link in my signature.

So good, it seems impossible that it is free.

TeachMeBassGuitar is not online, it's several DVDs and crammed to the gill.

Roy Vogt is a great teacher.

I believe I am average to intermediate, I am flying threw the first DVDs and alread the 3rd DVD is throwing me curve balls.

You might also want to check out TrueFire.com's two instructional courses from Stu Hamm. Really great stuff.

I used studybass at first, as well. I need to check back in now that my technique has started catching up to my musical knowledge and experience on other instruments...

studybass is amazing as far as free lessons over the internet goes
but a good teacher is worth his weight in gold and worth the investment
if you truly have a passion get yourself a teacher the second you can feasibly afford it
