Great jazz book - "Harmony With Lego Bricks"

I searched the site and got no hits, so I assume there hasn't been a thread about this book.

The full title is "The New Guide to Harmony With Lego Bricks" by Conrad Cork. I'm only about halfway through it, but I've found it to be extremely helpful. The basic idea is that any jazz tune consists of "bricks" which are either cadences (ii-V-I or some variation), turnarounds, or static "hovers".

Probably the most helpful thing about the book is that every concept is illustrated with a reference to a recording. As soon as you read about something, you can download the song from iTunes and listen to it.

It's listed on Amazon but seems to be out of stock; you can however order it directly from the author. I have no connection to the author and do not benefit from any sales. I just want to highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about jazz.

Thanks for the reference. I'll check it out.
