| | | | To be honest, your amp and possibly your effects are going to be a lot more important than your bass. You probably want something thick, with a food fundamental sound, and I don't think you can go wrong with a p-bass for that. |

Aluminum neck Kramers or Travis Beans are the way to go, but can cost some $$ and are really hard to find. Les Pauls are the standard option, but SG's have a monstrous tone. |

Ibanez makes good guitars, ot as good as their basses, but still very nice.
If you have a tiny bit more money to spend you might want to consider PRS or Mayones?  |
